The Grivel Air Tech Light EVO crampons have taken the Air Tech design of a walking and easy climbing 12 point crampon, then reduced the weight as much as possible by using aluminium over steel.

There will be some compromise to using aluminium over steel, with the biggest being that it will wear much quicker. However, you would pick a crampon like this for the weight saving, whilst still retaining all the features of a full spec hybrid walking and easy climbing crampon. These features being shorter spikes for more stable walking, but still retaining two climbing front points for gully's and easy climbing.

The webbing and bindings on the Air Tech Light EVO have been improved over the previous generation, now using 12mm webbing compared to 14mm. The buckle has been improved and is now easier to tighten and loosen, the extra webbing now fastens in towards the boot and wraps around the front of the ankle and can be tucked into the back. The step-in bindings have also been improved and simplified with a clip in height adjuster rather than the old dial. These step-in bindings are now lighter, stronger and easier to adjust.

Super light, the Grivel Air Tech Light EVO will be best suited for those with specific objectives in mind. Or for those seeking out a full spec, yet lightweight, walking and climbing crampon.

Semi step-in bindings with front cradle and heel lever-lock, for semi-rigid boots with a heel notch. Suitable for B2 and B3 Boots.

Wide New-Classic
